This was to be our last trip out in the Zodiacs so Monika had arranged for an extended outing. Huge Icebergs had been washed into the area situated between Anvers & Brabant Islands & half way to the open ocean. Martin took us some way out into calmer waters, and then enlightened us with a story about a previous zodiac excursion.

He had taken the Zodiac out around the islands, and lost radio contact with the Grigory Mikheev on the other side. So he decided to go around the islands to meet it, but in the meantime, the Grigory Mikheev had also decided to go looking for him, and was going round the islands in the same direction!

Fortunately a message had been put out to a passing ship, which relayed the location on, and they eventually met up. I can't think why Martin got told off though!!

Whilst we cruised around, a number of Fur seals were spotted, (these can be identified by their little ears).
